Commercial Painting
This liquor store painting project was referred to us by one of our loyal customers.
We have been painting for their family for a few years now and we absolutely love it.
I guess it's safe to say they love it as well so when the opportunity came to refer us to one of their family members they didn't hesitate.
PROCESS
As you can see the building hasn't been painted for quite some time now, so it was well overdue. There was also a lot of scraping to do. We spent about 2 hours pressure washing the building, then let it sit for a day to dry completely.

Once it was dry, we came back the following day to start the hard part, the scraping. We spent a whole day scraping. Once the scraping was complete, then it was on to the priming.

We only needed to prime the areas where the paint was peeling that we scraped.
And also, the area at the front that hadn't been previously painted.
PRODUCT
For the primer, we used Sherwin Williams LOXON concrete and masonry primer/sealer. This is a great primer for sealing and conditioning porous masonry surfaces.
Then it was on to the painting. We painted for one full day. The paint product we used on this project wasn't our usual exterior paint but was still a good choice. For this Liquor Store painting project, the paint we use was Sherwin Williams A-100. We used this paint since most of the building was already painted. We sprayed and back rolled while the paint was still wet.
We also had to change the paint color after we started. The client chose Monorail Silver by Sherwin Williams at first. However, after we did the front section, the owners weren't too pleased with the color as it was not dark enough for their liking. It's a family-owned business and they all said the same thing. We totally understand that, and we had no problems with the change at the end of the day we want to make sure we are helping the clients bring their vision to life.

We ended up changing the color to another Sherwin Williams color called Wall Street. Check out this slideshow with the entire transformation below.
We got everything done and cleaned up and it was truly awesome.
